The Port Colborne Optimist club year starts in October. That’s just the way we roll. With a new year comes a new team.
At the Club meeting on October 9th we inducted a new Executive, a new Board of Directors, and added two new members to our ranks. Optimist Lieutenant Governor Don Devreede was in attendance to conduct the swearing in process for the 2025 season. Incoming club President Jeanette Martin chaired her first meeting with new secretary Carl Green keeping records. Optimist Of The Year Clarisse Beauregard remains as club treasurer and to complete the new executive we have two new vice presidents, valued members of long standing Janet Pilon and Bonnie Schneider.
The new board of directors comprises in no particular order Gord Foster, Chris Eros, Sandra Thompson, Karen Kettle, and Cheryle Davidson. All these are also valued long time Club members.
Our two new members are Jessica Grabell and Stephanie Beauregard. Both are heavily involved in their community in other arenas, and we truly appreciate them making this additional commitment to us. Both are very welcome additions and we look forward to working with them in the years ahead.
This was a good day.
